Overview
Qingdao Baishan School, the first private school in Shandong Province, was founded by Ms. Baishan Zhang in 1993, to foster the development of an internationally minded Chinese citizen. At its inception, Baishan School took the lead in developing international education in the local community by cooperating with an American English Association to teach English language alongside the Chinese National Curriculum. After 27 years of continuous efforts, Baishan School is now part of an education group, including Qingdao Baishan School (1993), Qingdao Amerasia International School (2011), Qingdao Baishan Montessori Teacher Education Institute (2016), and Baishan Overseas Education Center (2015) in Tacoma, Washington, USA. Currently, Baishan School boasts more than 650 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 and 180 teachers and staff, including more than 27 foreign teachers from 10 different nations. Baishan School offers three distinct programs: · Chinese National Program with Intensive English: PK-G10 · International Dual-Immersion Program (English & Chinese): Montessori Early Childhood Curriculum: Ages 2.5-6 International Primary Curriculum (IPC): Grades 1-3 International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC): Grades G7-9 · Baishan Annie Wright High School Program (English): G9-11 This wide variety of programming ensures that no matter the student goals or interests they will be able to self-actualize and realize their true potential.
