Job Responsibilities

CRCC Asia is looking for a Shenzhen General Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Shenzhen team as well as all aspects of the CRCC Asia Shenzhen Internship Program (see full job description below). Program Operations & Management - Function as the communication link between the Company, Directors, other Management and staff; - Manage, guide and lead the Program Management and Business Development Management teams by preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties; - Management of a diverse team and ensuring communication and teamwork is utilized and efficient; - Oversee all activities of teams directly related to providing a high quality internship program including internship placement aspects, events, logistics, etc.; - Ensuring placements are of high quality and good matchmaking, as well as monitoring and enforcing placement deadlines; - Analyzing and solving any unexpected issues and problems together with the relevant teams; - Provide advice and oversee implementation and maintenance of health and safety policies and procedures, especially in the event of emergencies; - Overseeing correct use of the CRM database and maximization of capabilities; - Establish and implement office policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with team members, other China office managers, overseas office managers and directors as necessary HR Management - Determine staffing requirements, and plan workforce well in advance; - Responsible for cost-efficient and accurate recruitment and contract negotiation of office employees; - Conduct training and onboarding process for new employees; - Conduct individual performance evaluations for employees and discuss goals, points of improvements, career development, and relevant training; - Policy development and documentation maintenance with an aim for staff retention; - Approval and record keeping of employees' sick days and vacation days in accordance with company policies; - Implementing cost-efficient team building activities; - Manage employee termination and/or departures; - Responsible for overseeing all payroll and benefits administration Project Management - With assistance from Management, oversee and manage relationships with major suppliers and vendors including accommodation provider, program venues, Mandarin school provider, etc. - Responsible for negotiations and contract preparation with suppliers and vendors – all contracts and negotiations will be conducted alongside Management - Responsible for selection oversight and approval of events, and other program elements - Ensure that cost efficiency is achieved for all program elements - Understanding of visa regulations and provide advice and recommendations on visa processing Financial Management - Manage monthly budget and cash flow; - In charge of daily financial cash flow, including review and approval f all outgoing; - Proposing and implementing improved processes regarding cash flows; - Monitoring and maximizing use of office and program budget; - Monitoring, calculating and awarding PM and BDM bonuses; - Collecting, checking, and monitoring office expenses and employees’ expenses and reimbursements. Business Development & Marketing - Initiate, establish and maintain relationships with third parties to the benefit of the company (ie. University partnerships, host companies, etc.); - Pursue business opportunities, and follow up on potential cooperation deals; - Host meetings and program site visits for University faculty and other potential partners; - Represent the company at events (such as CBBC, Britcham, etc.) in order to expand business scope; strengthen company’s brand and presence in Shenzhen.

Job Requirements

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree requirement - At least 2 years work experience in China, familiarity with Shenzhen preferred - Education and study abroad industry experience preferred - Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, Mandarin skills a plus - Proven managerial and leadership experience with strong ability to work in a team - Ability to think logically and provide quick decisions on problem solving situations - Superior organization skills with acute attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize duties in a dynamic work environment - Understanding of CRCC Asia business model, company culture, and internship program operations - Flexible and adaptable to ever changing situations and demands
