A dedicated and ambitious young professional with a keen interest in pursuing a long-term career in China. With almost 6 months of experience in teaching English to international students, I bring a dynamic and innovative approach to the classroom. For two months now I have been teaching grade K2 English here in China. Day to day, I teach for roughly three hours a day (90 minutes in the morning and 90 minutes in the afternoon). For the rest of the school day, I assist the Chinese teachers with the implementation of other classes (e.g math class) . Besides teaching English I also conduct cooking and physical education (PE) classes with the children. additionally, I prepare monthly English tests to assess the children's level of progress. Finally, I set and mark homework weekly.
For over 3 months I taught English at a high school in Guadalajara Mexico. On average, during my time at IMAC, I taught 25 lessons a week; each lesson was 50 minutes long. I also conducted after-school conversation classes for students interested in understanding 'informal and conversational English'. Additionally, I also set and marked homework.
I attended lectures and seminars detailing effective English teaching practices for my TEFL qualification. Additionally, I planned and conducted several in-person English classes for foreign high school students. Finally, I received my qualification (an
A 1st class degree (the top grade) in international relations at one of the UK's top universities.
