Apply for Chinese visa

According to various visa policies, applicants who meet the relevant requirements can apply for Chinese visa at Chinese Embassy, diplomatic and consular embassy or special entry port. You need to prepare and submit a valid passport with a validity period of at least 6 months, leave a white page, a copy of the first page of the passport, fill in the complete visa application form and paste 2 recent photos (color photo, white background, taken in the past 6 months, size: 48mmx33mm), sufficient visa fee and service fee as well as other supporting documents.

Basic documents

The original passport is valid for at least 6 months and has at least 2 blank visa pages to leave. A copy of the valid passport data page, including the passport data page and photo page. (if not on one page, please make another copy.)

● visa application form

If you are eligible to use the China online visa application system (please visit www.visaforchina.org and https://cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn To check), you need to fill out a spreadsheet on the official website and enter all the answers step by step. Save and submit forms online. Print it out, sign the complete paper form and subscribe to the date

If online form submission is not available in your country of residence, you need to download the latest Chinese visa application form (2013 version) from the official website of the Chinese embassy or consulate. Fill in the spreadsheet in PDF / doc format and print it out.

● photos

Two recently photographed headless color photos in passport size on the front (to be attached to the printed visa application form). The photos shall be taken within the last 6 months, with a size of 33mm × 48mm, with a solid background of white or light color, and full face in front view without hat.

● certificate of legal residence or residence (for foreigners)

If you do not intend to apply for a Chinese visa in the state / region of your country (nationality), you must provide the original and copy of a valid certificate or visa to show your legal residence, residence, work and study in the country of residence.

● previous Chinese passport or visa (applicable to former Chinese citizens who later joined foreign nationality)

If this is your first time to apply for a Chinese visa, you must submit the original passport and a copy of the passport date page. If you have ever obtained a China visa and now apply for a new China visa with a new passport, you should provide a copy of the previous passport date page and a copy of the old China visa. (if the name on the current passport is different from that on the old passport, a formal name change certificate is required.)

Collect and check your Chinese visa

Processing times vary depending on the visa type. Generally, applicants need about 4 to 5 working days to obtain a Chinese visa, and the exact date of receipt will be indicated on the transfer form. If you submit a China travel visa on Monday, you can pick up your car on Thursday. After you get your passport back, please check the visa type, stay time and entry times carefully. When you plan to enter China, please check its validity carefully, otherwise you will be refused entry.
