China Visa Requirements

Before applying for a China visa, it is a good idea to understand the purpose of your visit to China and what type of visa you should apply for. Some of the requirements for different Chinese visas vary, but here is a look at the basic China Visa Requirements:

Passports

You must provide a true signed copy of your passport, including a copy of your passport's personal information page. Your passport must.

Be valid for 6 months after the expiry date of the visa you are applying for.

Include at least two blank pages for visa stamping (amendment and endorsement pages cannot be used to satisfy this requirement).

If you are applying for multiple entries, your passport must contain at least two blank face pages, which must not contain a stamp or amendment endorsement type.

They must not be worn, torn, separated, or otherwise altered in any way.

Photo

You must provide a color passport-type photo that meets the criteria below.

To be taken within the last six months, with a full white background, printed on high-quality photo paper.

To be 48mm high by 33mm wide accurate. Please note that many passport photo providers offer a standard photo that is 2 inches by 2 inches.

Provide a full frontal view of the head with the face-centered and showing a neutral (non-smiling) expression with eyes open and ears visible.

No background lighting or shadows on the face

You may not wear eyeglasses, jewelry, or headwear except for religious purposes.

You may not wear clothing with the same background as your photo.

Your photo must not be attached to your application, nor must it show signs of tape or staples.

Invitation Letter

You must provide an invitation letter. Use the template in this kit as a guide to the content and format of the invitation. All components of the template are required.

Business Cover Letter

You will need to provide a business cover letter from your company in the United States. All letters must be printed on company letterhead with a U.S. mailing address on the letterhead. Use the sample business cover letter that accompanies your letter to complete your letter.

State Proof of Residency

You must provide proof of your current residence address. This documentation must be a front copy of your driver's license or government ID card, or a utility bill. This documentation must be.

Please note that if you must submit a utility bill, the Consulate requires an electricity, gas or water bill and will not accept telephone or Cable TV Bill.

Visa Application Form
