Although China's economy is slowing down, it is undeniable that China is still the most dynamic economy in the world. There is a great demand for English talents in China. Don't you want to get china work? If your native language is English, or you can speak fluent English, a higher salary will be more favorable whether full-time or part-time.
Today, we will introduce four kinds of jobs that may make you rich to foreigners in China.
1.Translation, editing, proofreading
You don't need to be a senior translation expert or have a degree in editing or translation. All you have to do is to help proofread English articles or materials written in Chinese to make them more suitable for local needs. Generally, the part-time salary for editing/proofreading is about 100-200 yuan per hour, while the full-time salary is more than 10000 yuan. If you have Chinese ability, you can also act as a translator. Translators are usually paid twice as much as editors.
2.Trade (import / export)
If you are not satisfied with your English only job, the best choice is to engage in some kind of trade between China and their respective countries. Keep in mind that the Chinese market is large enough to find buyers of all your specialty products in China, such as coffee, wine, wool, beef, etc. Cheap electronic products, furniture, auto parts, and other Chinese goods are also in great demand abroad. Generally speaking, China has great trade potential. Wages are by no means a problem. Your income comes from the profits you make.
3.Hotel / restaurant / bar management
Chinese people are fascinated by foreign hotels, coffee shops, or restaurants. They always think that foreigners have higher design and taste than the Chinese. Therefore, if you have enough investment, you can try to own your own coffee shop or restaurant. If you don't want to invest too much, you can join the Chinese team. Generally speaking, the salary is no less than 15000 yuan. If you are in a big city like Beijing and Shanghai, your salary will be higher.
4.Teachers in international schools
Although the vast majority of teachers in China are English teachers, you can also find many international school teachers who specialize in a series of subjects in many Tier-1 and tier-2 cities. These teachers range in age from kindergarten to sixth grade. Generally, schools follow the curriculum of the United States, Canada or the United Kingdom.
In most cases, these schools want to hire teachers with at least a bachelor's degree in education and some experience. As a result, they are mostly employed directly from abroad. That said, foreigners who already live in China still have the opportunity to work in international schools, even if they don't have a teaching degree.
Some international schools are willing to hire local English teachers, who show a serious attitude towards education, have adapted to the local culture, and will become reliable teaching staff. You may start in a support position with a lower salary than a qualified colleague, but this is a great opportunity to move into a higher salary level and start a career that lasts a lifetime.
