English Teachers Jobs In China

China is the world's fastest-growing economy, with 300 million English students, and is the world's largest and most lucrative source of overseas English language instruction one of the job markets. Given the scope of the English language teaching market in China, the types of jobs and salaries of those who teach English vary widely, but most come from Beginning English teachers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, or other English-speaking countries typically earn a monthly salary of 8,000 RMB in China ( ($1,200) to 18,000 RMB ($2,600), with some earning more than that per month.

For English Teachers Jobs In China, you must have the following qualifications.

A university degree

TEFL certificate

Tier 1 cities like Beijing and Shanghai strongly prefer classroom-based TEFL certification, or include online and classroom hours! The Combined TEFL Certificate. If you're unsure about a TEFL course, you can choose a TEFL training provider who will give you a TEFL certificate that doesn't have an upfront Stamped "online" certificate.

Two years of graduate work experience

While such a salary may not be high in absolute terms compared to what you might consider a high salary in your home country, due to the low cost of living in China and housing costs are provided, so that most English teachers in China are able to save the equivalent of $20,000 per month, after expenses. 600-$1,750, some teachers can save more than $1,500 a month after expenses, or 2 a year million dollars. The lower cost of living in China (roughly 50% of the cost of living in the US) means that you can use more of your salary and save more easily. Note that in areas where the cost of living is also lower, salaries tend to be lower, so you can still save a significant portion of your income.

Most Americans pay 25-35% a month for rent and other housing-related expenses, so if your housing costs are covered, as they are for English teachers in China, you can keep more of your monthly income.

In China, many English teachers are also entitled to health insurance and paid vacation.
