China is a Jobs Hotspot for Expats

According to the data published by Chinese State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA) in 2017, more than 900,000 foreigners were employed on the Chinese mainland in 2016. And now the number of foreign employees in China has increased at a staggering pace over the past few years. In order to boost economic and social prosperity, China has open many job vacancies for expats. Besides the English teaching job, more and more non-teaching jobs like sales, marketing, and designer have been available to foreign talents. So if you are qualified, do not worry, there is always job info for you to check and apply for. Moreover, language barrier used to be a big concern for expats who are thinking about working in China but it is not more a big problem to worry about. More and more expats say they live happy life in China without knowing Chinese with a reason that lots of public infrastructures in China have become Foreigners-friendly with English speaking radio and English station boards in subways and so on.

How to get job information in China

As for expats who want to find a job in China, Google, facebook and LinkedIn will be the first choices to get job information in China. Using key word like “work in China” to search in Google is the easiest way to get touch with hiring information in China. After the search, countless job info will show on your screen and wait for your click and check. Joining in work groups is good way for you to search for job opportunities in facebook and LinkedIn. Once you join in work groups in facebook, you will find there are too many hiring info to check and the credibility of these info need to be carefully evaluated. The hiring info in LinkedIn will be more credible as the work groups in LinkedIn will be harder to join in.

Except these platforms, using job website to search for job is also a useful way. As Chinese recruiters are used to hiring candidates through jobsite, the same as hiring foreign talents. Chinese recruiters would like to check applications and contact foreign candidates through some specific jobsites such as www.hiredchina.com. So it would be quicker for you to get response if you apply for job in job website. And most of Chinese recruiters will only contact the candidate they think he/she is the suitable person.
