A Chinese visa is usually a travel authorization document required for China to enter the country, which is issued by the Chinese embassy or consulate attached to your passport. The visa of the people's Republic of China is a kind of license certificate submitted by the government authorized organ of the people's Republic of China for foreigners who enter or transit the country in accordance with the laws and regulations of the country. Usually, most foreigners who travel to the Chinese mainland need visas, whether they are business travel or leisure vacation. It is difficult to obtain a Chinese port visa at the Chinese border entry point. However, some cities and regions in China do not need visas in some cases.
Visa-free in China
Tourists with Singapore, Brunei, and Japanese ordinary passports can hold a Chinese visa for up to 15 days and can travel or visit relatives and friends without a visa. Visa is not required for direct flight transit without leaving the airport, so visa-free policies are implemented in some special areas of China.

What do I need to apply for a Chinese visa
The following are the minimum requirements for travel (L) visa applications. Other documents and requirements may also apply, especially if you do not apply for the usual l (tourist) visa.
Passport (original, non-copy), at least two blank visa pages (visa pages do not accept modification pages and pages with barcode), with a validity period of at least six months
One signed visa application form per passport with appropriate visa fee and any supporting information required
Two passport photos (head and shoulders only, front view, with white background, approx. 35mm x 45mm
