    How Do People Find Jobs In China

    China is one of the world’s fastest developing economies. Foreigners are also allowed to work in China. There are several types of work visas available for foreigners, but the most common is the Z work visa. This type of visa is issued to people who want to work in China for a term of more than 180 days. The Z visa is also issued to people who want to work in China for fewer than 180 days. The Z visa is issued by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in the country where the applicant is residing. This visa allows the foreigner to work in China for the period of time stated on the visa.

    The foreigner must be qualified for the work he/she wishes to do in China. To qualify, the applicant must hold a Bachelor's degree or higher. In addition, the foreigner must have documents proving that he/she has the skills and qualifications to do the job. Before the visa is issued, the applicant must be interviewed by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate. During the interview, the applicant must show documents proving his/her education and skills.

    The Z visa is a multiple entry visa. This means that the applicant may enter China many times during the term of the visa. If the foreigner wishes to stay in China for more than 180 days, he/she must apply for an extension. The applicant must leave China before the visa expires.

    A Z visa holder must apply for a residence permit from the local Public Security Bureau within 30 days of arrival in China. The residence permit must be renewed periodically. A 2-year permit is granted initially. The permit can be renewed for a maximum of 5 years.

    An employer in China must obtain a work permit and a business license before hiring a foreigner. The Employment License Certificate is issued by the local Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. The employer must apply for the certificate in person. The employer must provide several documents, including the foreigner’s passport and the Z visa receipt.
