How To Get China Visa
There is a lot to consider when getting a Chinese visa, whether you are traveling for business, pleasure, school or visiting family, there is no way.... You'll need a visa in your passport to leave China at an airport, train station or cruise port.
So how and where do you get a Chinese visa? How much do they cost? What kind of visas are available?

You pass through China on your way to your final destination and stay in China for no more than 24 hours. In this case, you must stay in your transit area, such as an airport, train station or port. You cannot leave to visit the city.
Getting a Visa for China
Now you have an idea of what kind of Chinese visa you need to get and how long it takes to get one. The next step is to start the process!
In many cases, you will need to have already purchased your ticket in order to apply for a Chinese visa (although there are ways around this). Usually, this means you need to apply for your visa between one month and three months before you plan to leave.
What is the cost of a Chinese visa?
Fees vary depending on where you are applying, your nationality, and the required entries. Fees range from $30 to $140 or more.
How long does it take to obtain a China visa?
If you have the appropriate documentation, it will normally take around 4 working days to process your visa application. You will need a passport with at least 6 months validity on a blank page, and a passport size color photograph with a complete application.
For an additional fee, you can take between 1 and 3 days (in some cases even 24 hours!) Expedite the delivery and receipt of your visa, but this does not include the time it takes to mail your passport to the consulate, which can be very expensive.
Where can I get a China Visa?
Where and how to apply for a Chinese visa depends on where you live. In countries such as Denmark, Canada and the United Kingdom, you can apply for a visa through the Chinese Visa Application Service Center or CVASC. If you live in the United States, you will need to apply at the Chinese Consulate, depending on the state you live in.
Mail applications are no longer accepted regardless of where you apply.
Applications need to be sent directly to CVASC or the Chinese Consulate. If you can't submit your application in person, you can get someone to do it for you, such as a family member or friend, or even a good Chinese visa service.
It's also worth noting that China requires a letter of invitation or proof of round-trip airfare and hotel from a company/organization in order to apply for a visa. This is a problem for a lot of people (i.e. those who will fly in, but take the train or bus out of the country), but there are some creative ways to do this Flight/hotel issues can be resolved for Chinese visas.
