In recent years, China has opened a large number of jobs for English Speakers. As all of you may know, China is a popular destination for expats especially the English speakers to work abroad. Let us find out the reason why is China becoming a hotspot for English speakers.

China’s large job market for English speakers

The reason why China attracts millions of English Speakers to settle down in China is all because of China’s strong economy and large job market. China can be called as the “land of job chances” for English speakers. After China open up to the world to follow the globalization trend, English education has been placed on an important role in the education of Chinese student. All of the adults and children believe that owning English language skill can benefit their personal development. So actually English education is not just popular in Children’s education but also popular in adult’s personal-development education. So this is also the reason why English teaching job is the most popular in China. Also for the globalization trend in China, more and more non-English teaching jobs are open to English speakers in China.

Requirements for English Speakers to Work in China

Although China wants to boost talents exchange and attract more foreign talents, there are still some requirements for English Speakers to Work in China. English speakers who want to work in China must be Bachelor Degree /above holders with 2 years of working Experience. Also English Speakers must own no Criminal Background and need to do medical check to provide health certificate with no infectious diseases. Last there is also ago limit on English Speakers working in China that expats must under 55 (women) or 60 (men) years old which is as same as the retirement age of Chinese people.

Finding English-Speaking jobs in China

As for English speakers who are considering working in China, they have a same headache that how to find job information and contact Chinese recruiters. While this“headache”should not be a big concern for foreign job seekers as lots of hiring info of Chinese companies can been seen on facebook, LinkedIn even twitter. Because of the urgent hiring needs, Chinese recruiters always try to find more ways to post their job information to attract foreign expats. So do not worry about the problem of seeking for job info, there are always some social media platforms you can find them. After successfully finding the job info, the problems of contacting Chinese recruiters will also be killed because most of job info will list the contact ways of Chinese recruiters. In past, Chinese recruiters like to leave their email address on hiring info as they know that email are the main contact way for expats. Now most of Chinese recruiters will leave their facebook account, LinkedIn account, what’s up account and even contact wechat account. There is also a little suggestion that wechat is the most useful communication app in China so as for job-seeking English speakers, downloading wechat to contact Chinese hr is also a recommended method.
