Tourist Visa China

For those who come to China for tourism, sightseeing or visiting friends, a Tourist Visa China shall be issued. For U.S. passport holders, the period of validity for each entry is usually 60 days, and for multiple entries, the maximum period of validity is 10 years; for non-U.S. passport holders, the period of validity for each entry is usually 60 days, but only for one or two entries, the period of validity is 3 or 6 months. The 10-year visa is not guaranteed. The Chinese consulate may, at its discretion, issue you a visa with entry restrictions, a shorter period of time and a shorter period of validity.

To apply for a Tourist Visa China, please prepare the following materials:

Actual passport with copy of name page

Please submit your actual passport. Visas will be issued on passports.

The passport is still valid for at least 12 months. Otherwise, you have to change your passport first. If you need passport service, please visit our expedited Passport Service Department.

Passport should have at least two blank visa pages. The last three pages of a U.S. passport are not visa pages. These are the revision pages reserved by the State Department for passport revision. They do not accept visas. If your passport does not have a blank visa page, you can add additional visa pages. If you need passport service, please visit our expedited Passport Service Department.

If you have a valid Chinese visa on another passport, you need to submit it with the new passport when you apply for a new visa.

Non US passport holders must provide a copy of the US green card. Some non-U.S. passport holders (holding passports of the countries on the attached list) must apply in person.

Handwriting is not acceptable.
