Copy of previous Chinese passport or Chinese visa (applicable to Chinese citizens who have acquired foreign nationality)

If you are applying for a Chinese visa for the first time, you should provide a copy of your previous Chinese passport and its information page.

If you have previously obtained a Chinese visa and want to apply for a Chinese visa with a renewed foreign passport without a Chinese visa, you should show a copy of the information page and photo page of the previous passport (if separate) and the previous Chinese visa page. (if your name on your current passport is different from that on your previous passport, you must provide an official document of your name change.)

Supporting documents:

Documents showing the itinerary, including air ticket booking record (round trip), hotel reservation certificate, etc., or an invitation letter issued by relevant units or individuals in China. The invitation should include:

Applicant information (full name, gender, date of birth, etc.)

Information about planned visits (arrival and departure dates, visit locations, etc.)

Information of the inviting unit or individual (name, contact number, address, official seal, signature of legal representative or inviting person)

Copies of Chinese ID card or foreign passport and residence permit of the invited individual.
