Screenshot from WeChat<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dec.3, the party\u2019s top discipline watchdog published a set of stickers free to download on WeChat, the country\u2019s most popular chat app. The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI)\u2014which is at the center of president Xi Jinping\u2019s sweeping&nbsp;anti-corruption campaign\u2014released a total of 16 animated GIFs with slogans taken from Xi\u2019s \u201ceight-point regulations\u201d on fighting corruption, in celebration of the fifth anniversary of the guidelines\u2019 introduction.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\u5fae\u4fe1\u56fe\u7247_20171207154713.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/media.hiredchina.com\/Fvcqp0f7IBPQP2-TRv4fwjZ0Oe0z?imageView2\/0\/format\/webp\/q\/75\" width=\"640\" height=\"363\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Photo: quartz<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The stickers are a way to \u201cnarrow the distance between internet users and the CCDI,\u201d&nbsp;said the body&nbsp;in a statement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The stickers are straightforward: One of them shows the two Chinese characters for the word \u201cprivilege\u201d crushed by a fist from above. Is it actually PowerPoint?\u201d one wrote&nbsp;under a post by&nbsp;China\u2019s state broadcaster&nbsp;on social network Weibo&nbsp;(link in Chinese) that was promoting the stickers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Whether the stickers become popular or not, it\u2019s likely that China\u2019s internet users will see more communist elements popping up all around the internet, as the Party seeks to both&nbsp;expand and control the country\u2019s tech industry.
