First, it’s important to remember that\u00a0China does not accept international driver’s licenses<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

You must obtain a Chinese driver’s license in order to drive in China.<\/p>\n

Basic Requirements for Obtaining Chinese License:<\/p>\n

  1. Provide your national or international<\/a> driver’s license. Make sure it is translated and notarized.<\/li>\n
  2. Provide certificate of temporary registration or permanent residence.<\/li>\n
  3. Provide your passport and visa.<\/li>\n
  4. Have a medical check in Chinese hospital.<\/li>\n
  5. Pass the written test at the Traffic Management Bureau<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Once you obtain your Chinese driver’s license, you will be able to rent a car from most companies.<\/h2>\n

    Prices vary based on the make and model of the vehicle. However, most prices range from 150 RMB to 350 RMB per day.<\/p>\n

    It’s also wise to buy a cheap insurance policy on the vehicle. Such policies only cost about 65 RMB per day.<\/p>\n

    You also will need to pay a deposit on the vehicle. The deposit prices range from about 5,000 RMB to 10,000 RMB.<\/p>\n

    There are many trusted car rental companies in China. It’s important to rent from reputable companies, in order to insure you are not ripped off.<\/p>\n

    – China Auto Rental<\/p>\n

    Once you pay for the rental, get some insurance, and pay a deposit, you are ready to hit the open road. Simply drop the car off at another rental office when you are finished!<\/p>\n
