{"id":1383,"date":"2018-10-03T07:09:54","date_gmt":"2018-10-02T23:09:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hiredchina.com\/articles\/2018\/10\/03\/toddler-disables-mothers-iphone-for-47-years\/"},"modified":"2024-12-21T18:25:05","modified_gmt":"2024-12-21T10:25:05","slug":"toddler-disables-mothers-iphone-for-47-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hiredchina.com\/articles\/toddler-disables-mothers-iphone-for-47-years\/","title":{"rendered":"Toddler Disables Mother&#8217;s iPhone for 47 Years!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A cautionary tale for all parents with toddlers: Do not let your child <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiredchina.com\/jobs\">play with your phone<\/a>, or you might not be able to unlock it for years.<\/p>\n<p>One mother in Shanghai learned this the hard way after she left her iPhone with her two-year-old son so he could watch educational videos, reported Chinese media.<\/p>\n<p>When she returned, she found that the phone was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.merriam-webster.com\/dictionary\/disabled\" class=\"broken_link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">disabled<\/a> and locked for 47 years &#8211; or, to be exact, 25,113,676 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.hiredchina.com\/FhDWht9vMKyi9x9eEGCLEHzNnXCP?imageView2\/0\/format\/webp\/q\/75\" alt=\"iphone1 pear video.jpg\" width=\"780\" height=\"520\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Image: Pear Video<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>According to the mother, who posted about her plight on an online forum, the toddler repeatedly attempted to unlock the phone, but with the wrong password.<\/p>\n<p>The woman, who was only identified as Madam Lu, was reported as saying that she had waited for two months so far.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I can&#8217;t wait for 47 years and tell my grandchild it was your father&#8217;s mistake,&#8221; she was quoted as saying.<\/p>\n<p>\u200b<\/p>\n<p>An Apple store technician reportedly told Chinese media outlet Kanka<a target=\"_blank\" class=\"inside_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hiredchina.com\/articles\/tag\/news\/\" title=\"View all posts in news\">news<\/a> that she has two options: Wait it out to unlock her phone, or reboot the iPhone.<\/p>\n<p>The latter option would mean she would lose all the files in her phone memory.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time that the technician has seen such a case, he told Kankanews.
