\u201cMany of those who stop me in the street would also request to have their pictures taken with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cA lot of Westerners are incredibly picky eaters. I think I probably lost that pickiness somewhere between the pig brain and the duck’s blood soup.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

By the way, I highly recommend both of these dishes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

\u201cYour boss tells you to eat\u00a0more,\u00a0when you already have food in your mouth.\u201d<\/p>\n

Explain\u00a0to your boss that you\u2019ve had enough food, and divert their attention\u00a0<\/span>by<\/span>\u00a0something about your country\u2019s culture.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYou walk down the street and everyone is staring at you, and your first thought is \u201cIs my skirt tucked into my underwear or something??!\u201d\u00a0and then you realize \u201coh, no I\u2019m just a foreigner.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chinese people are friendly, they extend\u00a0a warm\u00a0welcome to people from all over the\u00a0world.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\"1.jpg\"<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen someone calls you on the phone and starts screaming things at you in Chinese.\u201d<\/p>\n

Haha, that kind of situation happens all the time.\u00a0Just salespeople\u00a0trying to make some sales.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

\u201cHaving a straw matt instead of sheets.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cRust floating in the bottom of your water boiler.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThe fact that no one ever knows what to do when they see you on a bus.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ignore them, just be yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

\u201cWhen someone wears a horribly misspelled Chinglish shirt and you REALLY want to take a picture.\u201d<\/p>\n

Good, take\u00a0photos\u00a0next time!\u00a0A taste of their own medicine<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

\u201cWhen you go to an underwear store and none of the bras are even\u00a0close\u00a0to your size.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asian sizes are totally different from EU sizes,\u00a0<\/span>instead<\/span>\u00a0you could order online or go to an international\u00a0brand shop.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNot opening gifts in front of people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yes, this is a Chinese tradition.<\/span><\/p>\n

When random people shout \u201cHELLO!\u201d at you.<\/p>\n

When your boss forces baijiu down your throat over dinner and won\u2019t take no for an answer (and you\u2019rehung over for an entire day\u00a0afterward).<\/p>\n

\n

When you can\u2019t seem to figure out what flavor or type of toothpaste, coffee, bread etc. you are buying.<\/p>\n

\n

When you accidentally\u00a0eat a\u00a0ch\u012b l\u00e0 ji\u0101o and your\u00a0whole mouth goes numb.<\/p>\n

I do that once. Sometime \u8fa3\u6912 \u201cl\u00e0 ji\u0101o\u201d just hide inside dishes, and you cant see it, but when you already ate, it’s too late to find it………<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

When your roommate forgets to put the lid down on the toilet seat when she takes a shower, and the whole toilet seat is soaking wet<\/p>\n

.. and when everything in your bathroom is always soaking<\/a> wet in general.<\/p>\n

\n

Getting offered blood tofu or intestines and watched closely to see if and how much you\u00a0will eat\u00a0of\u00a0it.<\/p>\n

\n

When your female boss tries to hold your hand on a daily basis.<\/p>\n

\n

Those girls in grocery stores that scream-chant product information at you in Chinese.<\/p>\n

Chinese style selling thing.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

When you feel like everyone is judging you.<\/p>\n

They are curious about different culture and different race, no offensive.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Getting asked to be a \u201clanguage partner.\u201d<\/p>\n

It also a good time for you to\u00a0<\/span>pratise<\/span>\u00a0Chinese, make friends by the way.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n
