Photo: 163.com<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiredchina.com\/jobs\">crashes happened<\/a> outside the home of Xu Renxiang and her husband He Haijun near Daqing in Heilongjiang province, the China Youth Daily reported.<\/p>\n<p>The road suddenly turns 90 degrees without warning and some motorists plough straight on into the house.<\/p>\n<p>Xu and her husband have taken about 100 photographs recording 48 car accidents over the past year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople nearby all know \u2013 car accidents often happen at our house,\u201d Xu said.<\/p>\n<p>The first accident happened in November 2010 after the <a href=\"https:\/\/dictionary.cambridge.org\/dictionary\/english\/completion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">completion<\/a> of the new road when Xu was eight months pregnant and she and her husband were fast asleep.<\/p>\n<p>On one occasion, four cars crashed into their yard and the first vehicle drove away without offering any compensation.<\/p>\n<h5><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.hiredchina.com\/Fji79hkSOGnVUn0MLYtfjCRiofy5?imageView2\/0\/format\/webp\/q\/75\" alt=\"2.png\" width=\"621\" height=\"348\" title=\"\"><\/h5>\n<h5><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_scene_of_the_crashes_in_Heilongjiang_province_Photo_163com\"><\/span>The scene of the crashes in Heilongjiang province. Photo: 163.com<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The couple have appealed to the local government multiple times to address the problem.<\/p>\n<p>Officials, however, have blamed \u201chistorical problems\u201d and people\u2019s driving rather than the layout of the road, the newspaper reported.<\/p>\n<p>Xu, 29, said they were still hoping the road could be fixed, although the government has raised the option of offering <a href=\"https:\/\/dictionary.cambridge.org\/dictionary\/english\/compensation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">compensation<\/a> so they can move to a similarly sized house elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis road has been affecting our house, but one day, when we leave, we will still feel a little reluctant,\u201d Xu was quoted as saying.<\/p>\n<p>For now, they rely on a big yellow road sign at the front of their yard, saying in red: \u201cSlow\u201d.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.hiredchina.com\/FlXXlKXBxtykYAuKbjvAxKMwIbVH?imageView2\/0\/format\/webp\/q\/75\" alt=\"GIC QR.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A family in northeast China says there have been nearly 50 road accidents outside their rural house in a year, according to a newspaper report.
