Why apply for a Chinese 10 Year Visa<\/a>?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The naming of this special policy for Chinese visas<\/a> is a bit deceptive. That doesn’t mean you can stay in China for 10 years, it just means your visa is valid for 10 years. Because this is a multiple-entry visa, if you plan to visit China more than once in the next 10 years, it can save you a lot of money.<\/p>\n

If you plan to visit China more than once in the next decade, a 10-year visa can save you a lot of money. If you often come to China for business<\/a>, this 10-year travel<\/a> visa will make you not have to apply for a new visa every time you travel.<\/p>\n

In the end, it will save you money. A fee of more than $140 is only paid once, and then you can keep it for 10 years.<\/p>\n

What if my passport expires within 10 years?<\/p>\n

You’re fine. They’ve considered two solutions that work well.<\/p>\n

If your passport has only recently expired, all you have to do is take your expired passport with you and present it with your new one. As long as the information<\/a> on both passports is the same, they will allow it. In other words, if you get married and your name changes, it doesn’t work for you.<\/p>\n

In most cases, you can apply for and get a stay of 60 days per entry (the longest for tourists), but if you need more time, you can make a special request, which is sometimes approved in case of business or family visit visa.<\/p>\n

They are likely to ask you to give reasons for this particular request, depending on whether the consulate has extended your stay visa.<\/p>\n
