His motive remains unknown.<\/p>\n<p>The incident occurred on June 7 in south China&#8217;s Guangdong Province.<\/p>\n<p>The video shows the suspect approaching the driver&#8217;s seat from behind. He seized the steering wheel and attempted to turn the vehicle towards right.<\/p>\n<p>The driver can be seen struggling to stay on course.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.hiredchina.com\/FoPe3sQOGeCoD4aHWBWDDBuef6jE?imageView2\/0\/format\/webp\/q\/75\" alt=\"2.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"305.6027164685908\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<h5><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_driver_right_struggled_to_stay_on_course_after_the_man_took_over_the_steering_wheel_Photo_DailyMail\"><\/span>The driver (right) struggled to stay on course after the man took over the steering wheel \u00a0Photo:DailyMail<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Another passenger was thrown into the driver&#8217;s cabin due to the sharp turn.<\/p>\n<p>The 23-second clip ends when the suspect and other passengers flew up to the windows.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Transport in Dongguan city, Guangdong Province, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.merriam-webster.com\/dictionary\/confirmed\" class=\"broken_link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">confirmed<\/a> the authenticity of the footage.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, the <a target=\"_blank\" class=\"inside_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hiredchina.com\/articles\/tag\/transport\/\" title=\"View all posts in transport\">transport<\/a> authority said the incident took place on the Guangshen Expressway.
