Its takes just one second.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u200b<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"2.jpg\" style=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/media.hiredchina.com\/FslrKKNlmu6rTw21UuqxxAAgnT9-?imageView2\/0\/format\/webp\/q\/75\" height=\"350\" width=\"620\" title=\"\"> <\/p>\n<p>The airline said its initial use of the technology at Nanyang will pave the way for similar roll-outs at Beijing\u2019s new airport and elsewhere. It reportedly plans a large-scale use of the system, including implementing it at the newly built Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Terminal 2 in 2018, the People\u2019s Daily reported.<\/p>\n<p>The airline developed its new facial recognition software with tech giant Baidu and GRG Banking, a Guangzhou-based ATM supplier. It relies on biometric technology that identifies people based on their facial features.<\/p>\n<p>Huang Wenqiang, general manager of the airline&#8217;s e-commerce division, said the smart-boarding system involved multiple encryption measures, which would prevent personal information theft.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"3.jpg\" style=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/media.hiredchina.com\/FjGSu5bo_RP39qMI2vdmqd8otbwS?imageView2\/0\/format\/webp\/q\/75\" height=\"449\" width=\"600\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<h5><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Photo_Lifeofguangzhou-2\"><\/span>Photo:Lifeofguangzhou<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n<hr>\n<p>One of the first visitors to use the system, a man surnamed Wang, told the state-owned People\u2019s Daily: \u201cIt feels very novel. I was carrying lots of luggage, stood in front of the gate, and the boarding doors immediately opened. I didn\u2019t need to pull out my boarding pass. [It was} so much more convenient!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hou Kan, a member of the International Air Transport Association, said in the company\u2019s announcement that the flight boarding process has become more efficient in recent years.
