It&#8217;s basically the plot of your typical Hollywood action movie, but this time it&#8217;s a Chinese man upholding justice and keeping the world safe.<\/p>\n<p>Following in the footsteps of Jacky Chan and Jet Li, martial arts expert Wu Jing is among a new generation of Chinese action stars turned directors.<\/p>\n<p>His first Wolf Warrior film came out in 2014, but it didn&#8217;t make much of an impact.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"22.jpg\" style=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/media.hiredchina.com\/FjREHXsBpe9NODIB3-LFG-wsYagV?imageView2\/0\/format\/webp\/q\/75\" width=\"640\" height=\"320\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<h5><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"_Photo_Martial_Arts_Movie_Junkie\"><\/span>&nbsp;Photo:Martial Arts Movie Junkie<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n<hr>\n<p>Wolf Warrior 2, however, has become a phenomenon.<\/p>\n<p>The film has raked in a record 1.6bn yuan ($238m; \u00a3181m) in just one week.<\/p>\n<p>The film revolves around a covert rescue mission when rebels overrun a town in an unnamed African country.<\/p>\n<p>Leng Feng, a Chinese special forces soldier played by Wu Jing, is sent in to save Chinese businessmen and locals held by Western mercenaries.<\/p>\n<p>Many moviegoers said online that they were touched by the patriotic plot.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"3.jpg\" style=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/media.hiredchina.com\/FnK99B2SkHCxXxNgg4_z7DjcHi0a?imageView2\/0\/format\/webp\/q\/75\" width=\"640\" height=\"400\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<h5><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Photo_China_Film_Insider\"><\/span>Photo:China Film Insider<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n<hr>\n<p>&#8220;This movie is the best Chinese action movie,&#8221; one social media user wrote. &#8220;Shockingly good &#8211; hot blood and tough guys.
