It measured eight centimetres (3.15 inch) tall and seven centimetres wide (2.8 inches).<\/p>\n<p>Dr Cai Yonghua, a specialist in colorectal and anal surgery, told the reporter that the tumbler glass was located in the upper to middle section of the rectum.<\/p>\n<p>The glass was stuck about seven centimetres (2.8 inches) into the rectum.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;After injecting spinal anaesthesia to Xiao Zhang, we can directly touch the glass but it&#8217;s too slippery to take it out,&#8217; added Dr Cai.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"3.png\" style=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/media.hiredchina.com\/FvWzb5h0LXujFUkTGPG5YaEKyDsZ?imageView2\/0\/format\/webp\/q\/75\" width=\"589\" height=\"473.5732600732601\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<h5><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_tumbler_glass_measured_a_28_inches_diameter_and_3_inches_height_Photo_Daily_Mail\"><\/span>The tumbler glass measured a 2.8 inches diameter and 3 inches height&nbsp; Photo: Daily Mail<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n<hr>\n<p>Dr Cai and his team decided to perform an operation on Xiao Zhang&#8217;s abdomen to remove the tumbler glass from the intestines.<\/p>\n<p>The glass was also found to have broken on the edge.&nbsp; Dr Ren Hongliang, the assistant surgeon, said the patient could have died of uremia, peritonitis or intestinal obstruction.<\/p>\n<p>The patient, said to be married and have children, refused to tell the doctors how the tumbler glass ended up in his rear.<\/p>\n<p style=\"\">However, Dr Cai suggested that &#8216;a very few number of cases were caused by intentional harm by others, most of them insert objects into the buttocks voluntarily&#8217;.&nbsp;&nbsp; Xiao Zhang is recovering now.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"GIC.jpg\" style=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/media.hiredchina.com\/FlXXlKXBxtykYAuKbjvAxKMwIbVH?imageView2\/0\/format\/webp\/q\/75\" width=\"500\" height=\"543.2937181663837\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A man was rushed to a hospital in south China with a glass cup in his anus.
