Some of my piano videos can be found here https://www.youtube.com/@F.Adebiyi/videos https://pan.baidu.com/s/19k7uOrwmuFt3Q9jN0rctHQ?pwd=8888 I am a British classical musician. I recently graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with a master’s degree in Music Composition. In January 2023, I arrived in China. It is my desire to contribute to the special, thriving artistic world of China. I am firmly committed to both the preservation and continuation of classical music. It is my life’s work to make classical music relevant to both our current contemporary society and generations to come. Fundamentally, this can be achieved through the active performance and creation of new pieces which inspire the performer – and encapsulate the hearts and minds of our audience. My recent employment history shows that so far, I have consistently pursued this aim through various teaching and educational roles.
I offered advanced subject teaching and mentored GCSE and A level pupils at the school. It was very important to try and maintain the high academic standards of the school. I monitored the academic attainment of the students and addressed any pastoral or academic issues using pre-determined learning objectives. I established a clear framework for learning/classroom discipline whilst also anticipating and managing behaviour constructively. It was also important to promote independence and an adherence to the school policy. To maintain accurate records and preparing written reports and evaluation. At the start of each academic term, I purchased academic resources to support the students at the school.
Whilst living and working in St. Benet’s Hall College, Oxford, I was responsible for the organisation of the music exam. I devised questions and printing out the standardised test papers. I was responsible for planning musical events – including piano recital concert at Christ Church, Oxford.
September 2019 – August 2020 To live in the boarding house during term time – providing academic tutoring and pastoral care. I taught piano daily to students at the boarding school. I accompanied students on the piano for their formal instrumental examinations. (ABRSM) Stonyhurst College
The optimal balance between my musical responsibilities and boarding house duties ensured that I was able to multitask and remain well-rounded. I taught ABRSM Music theory and prepared students for their formal examinations. It was my duty to catalogue the music library and maintain the music scores. This included the preservation of historic material in the library. I provided administrative assistance and liaised with the Director of Music. Deputy organist at the school church for Sunday Church services. I was responsible for rehearsing and conducting both school choirs. I used Sibelius and Musescore to arrange and transpose scores for the orchestra whilst also printing and binding the orchestral the parts. I designed, wrote, and printed concert programmes for the audience. I prepared the stage and musical materials for large ensemble performances and was responsible for the provision of choral books for the choir.
