- I deliver the oral component and mark the written component for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) at test centres around China. This involves assessing the oral and written English proficiency of candidates who wish to emigrate or study abroad. - This position requires a deep knowledge of the English language as well as the ability to pay attention to detail and maintain high levels of professionalism. - Key components of this job include an ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information, an ability to respond effectively to feedback, as well as a capacity to work as part of a team and demonstrate cultural sensitivity when dealing with customers. - I was involved in a high-profile collaborative translation project where I translated research from a Chinese government sponsored project concerning future reforms for the National Middle School Exam. - I was involved in an item writing project where I wrote a series of exam questions designed to be used in official IELTS practice material.

- I have proofread a number of documents on various topics for publication in English. - These include academic research theses in the medical field, pieces for inclusion in marketing material and local government press releases. - All documents have been proofread according to deadline and have all been accepted by the clients.

 I taught Business and English to university students as part of a formal course of English instruction.  I was responsible for the setting up of a number of extra-curricular clubs and organised many activities to facilitate the learning of English, including debates, film festivals, performances, a Model United Nations and a termly English language magazine.  I received a number of internal awards for the quality of my teaching
