I. Degrees 1. B.A degree in Linguistics and English literature from University of Baghdad, College of Languages, September-2011 with GPA of 86.72% and ranked the 4th out of 73 graduates. 2. M.A degree in Education, TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) with Distinction from the University of Sunderland / UK, November- 2014. • The M.A. dissertation project evaluated the communicative language teaching approach for Iraqi students at UK language teaching centers. II. Work Experience 1. Part-time Lecturer, Middle Technical University, Baghdad-Iraq (Jan./2020-recent) • Teaching scientific and general English (University requirements) to various departments in the college of engineering / the Middle Technical University. 2. Councilor and Translator with MSF (Doctors without borders) mission in Baghdad (July 2020-Jan 2021). • Perform regular counseling and education sessions to TB/DR TB patients, following different education and counseling MSF protocols and procedures, in order to improve their adherence to treatment and psychosocial condition. Moreover, train and coach MOH counselors and develop context specific TB/DRTB education and counseling tools. 3. MHPSS Case Manager, IMC-Iraq, Baghdad (Aug./2019 – Jan./2020) Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) case manager. Main responsibilities are: • Give orientation sessions to women and youth at high-schools and universities about mental health and psychological integrity. • Asses cases with mental health problems and, if needed, transfer them to psychologist. • Provide day to day follow up of field staff ensuring that MHPSS program implementation is on track. Member of Children Bringing Change (CBC) charity April 2016. • CBC is a charity set out to improve the quality of education for children in Iraq by focusing on emotional well-being and creative approaches to learning. Working in partnership with universities in the UK and Iraq, we create hubs of excellence within Iraqi universities in order to make significant and pedagogical change in the approaches of learning 6. I helped coordinating and designing activities and lessons for them. I also helped interpreting and translating activity programs for Arabic and non-English speaking women in the community. Many activities and lessons designed by me to help women face difficulties, including GBV and racial discrimination and to help them integrate well and settle in the English community. 7.
