Currently a UX Writer and LQA Specialist in the company’s gaming QA Department. Work with product teams and translation managers to ensure the quality of content in games before and after launch. Provide translation, proofreading, and in-game testing for all Netease games released in English. Working with developers and product managers to implement coding solutions to deal with non-Chinese linguistic issues (plurals, genders, etc.). Standardized the QA reporting system specifically for LQA. Responsible for the LQA and CQA testing for all new games. Run monthly tests on games early in their development cycle to ascertain the quality and areas to work on moving forward.

One of 3 senior staff members in the International Design Department, specifically acting as the UX Content Team Leader across 2 platforms; Alibaba.com and AliExpress. Restructured the UX writing team for Alibaba.com and improved interdepartmental collaboration, particularly with UX Design. Worked with Branding and Marketing to craft an on-brand style guide to improve content quality and consistency. Created scalable SOPs for various content related tasks. Established a set of metrics to better evaluate the quality, readability, and usability of UX content and design. Provided training and guidance to writers. Worked with developers to improve the proprietary CMS and content workflow.

Responsible for all content creation and translation, managing a team of around 40 staff including writers, QA specialists, and process managers. Established content management workflows, KPIs, and QA metrics. Improvements included an increase in English output, and a reduction of unnecessary communications by over 50% through streamlining the QA process. Improved collaboration between design and UX writing team, perfecting the design process from a content and UX perspective. Worked with developers to improve proprietary tools including a CMS and CAT, as well as design a solution for plural, gender, time & date format issues.

Served as the Chinese lead for a number of the company’s largest accounts. Covered topics including finance and banking, automotive and agricultural machinery, as well as technical documentation. Managed the company’s freelancer base for key accounts; outsourcing work and assigning in-house resources to conduct QA and delivery. Designed training and reference material. Gave training sessions on key Chinese accounts.
