Serve as the principal of a foreign language immersion Signature School in the Kansas City Public Schools, with an enrollment of nearly 700 students in grades K-8. Lead all aspects of the overall school improvement process, including the implementation and authorization of the International Baccalaureate program at the Primary and Middle levels. Increased annual MSIP5 APR scores from 57.1% to 92.9%. ◼ Including increasing state assessment scores in SY2023 by +60.4 MPI Points in Reading, +85.9 MPI Points in Math, and +76.7 MPI Points in Science. Improved overall average daily attendance from 89.2% to 96.1%, as well as increased overall enrollment annually. Increased Algebra 1 EOC MSIP 5 scores to 461 (out of 500), with 100% of students scoring in Advanced and Proficient categories resulting in top EOC scores in the District three years in a row. ▪ US News and World Report- designated a top 40% elementary and middle school. Only 1.6% of US public schools received this dual recognition. Implemented and received authorization as the region’s only International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) World School and Middle Years Programme (MYP) World School. ▪ 1 of 144 dually authorized Primary Years and Middle Years Programme World Schools (and the only such designated school in the Midwest). Reauthorized with zero matters to be addressed and all areas exceeding international requirements. Adopted and implemented a Chinese Mandarin Immersion program from Kindergarten to Middle School. Continuously improved our "A" school rating, with the score increasing from 571 to 648. Achieved significant double-digit increases in writing, reading, math, and science FCAT state assessment scores. Successfully re-structured curricular offerings to allow for small group work, pull-out assistance, and after-school tutoring to best meet the needs of all students. Developed and implemented the After-School Homework Recovery (AHR) program, which resulted in a decrease of 23% in average missing daily assignments to 8% and increased average overall GPA.
