Overview

In recent years, the central government has attached great importance to cultural and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, and has made multiple decisions and deployments to continuously expand the level of education opening up to the outside world. In 2017, the General Office of the Communist Party of China and the State Council issued the "Several Opinions on Strengthening and Improving Sino foreign Cultural Exchange Work", which comprehensively, cross disciplinary, and multi topic designs, clarifying the future development path and direction of Sino foreign cultural exchange in the new era, and providing fundamental guidance for primary and secondary schools to implement relevant policies. The Education Tribe implements the decisions and deployment of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, specially establishes a Chinese foreign people to people and cultural exchange center, takes the Chinese foreign people to people and cultural exchange education experimental area as the starting point, carries out the special school plan, and encourages the primary and secondary schools in the experimental area to carry out seven types of characteristic projects, such as the twinning of international friendly schools, the construction of "Internet+people to people exchanges", and multilingual foreign language learning. Afterwards, the Ministry of Education issued the "Opinions on Accelerating and Expanding the Opening up of Education in the New Era" and issued the "Implementation Guidelines for the International Understanding Education Project in the Sino foreign Cultural Exchange Education Experimental Zone (Trial)" for the experimental zone.
