The company started as a township enterprise with dozens of employees and has undergone 29 years of development. It now has a research and development team of over 3500 employees and over 600 people. The company's main business covers the research and development, manufacturing, installation, and operation and maintenance services of smart grid related products such as intelligent metering, intelligent distribution systems, intelligent switches, power boxes, and distribution automation. In June 2011, it was successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, and its market value exceeded 29 billion in June 2015. The company has established multiple research and development, production, and marketing bases in Ningbo, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, and Hong Kong, with 6 wholly-owned subsidiaries. Its sales and service network covers 31 provinces, cities, autonomous regions, and more than 50 countries worldwide, and has opened up multiple overseas bases.
