EF Daqing was the first franchise school to be established in the city by EF English First back in 2001. A second center opened in 2008 and we now boast 16 foreign teachers catering for around 1400 students aged 3 to adult. We provide our teachers with ongoing support and professional career development, as well as provide a mentor to help new arrivals settle in Daqing. As one of China’s newest cities, Daqing benefits from wide, clean streets and pollution-free blue skies all year round. Its skyline is pierced by modern high-rise apartment blocks and the streets populated by restaurants offering food from the diverse cultures that make up the peoples of this region. Adding variety to the urban landscape are the many spectacular lakes which provide residents with beautiful open spaces to exercise and play sports. Surrounded by the stunning wetlands, natural hot springs, and a slice of Mongolian life available in Duerbote, there’s no shortage of things to do. And getting around the city couldn’t be cheaper, with taxis starting at 5RMB – less than $1!
