Beijing 21st Century International School Founded in 1993, Beijing 21st Century International School boasts the first new-type boarding school featuring “endorsed by the government, financed by the enterprise and organized by experts” nationwide. Following the school motto of “To be a proud Chinese” and adhering to the belief of “to cultivate students into citizens of the world with patriotism, international vision and intercultural communication ability”, the school encompasses three departments ranging from Primary School to Junior and Senior High Schools. Our school integrates education resources of high quality from home and abroad to realize every child’s dream, with the theme “to disseminate the essence of traditional Chinese culture, to adopt merits from Chinese and Western curriculum, and to provide courses suitable for students’ future development”. Our school received eminent results with all the graduates admitted to prestigious universities. According to the rankings US News, QS and Times, in 2018, 84.9% of the students were admitted to the World Top 50, US Top 50 and British Top 10; in 2019, 82.3% of the students were admitted to the World Top 50, US Top 50 and British Top 10. All the students applying for US universities were admitted to US Top 100. We received 17 more offers from US Top 30 than the previous year with 25% students admitted; all students from A-Level class were admitted to British Top 10. It has been a common phenomenon that our students were admitted to prestigious universities such Oxford University, Cornell, UC Berkeley, Northwestern University, UCLA, UCL, Simon Fraser University, UBC, Imperial College, McGill University, University of Toronto, University of Melbourne, and University of Sydney, etc. Beijing 21st Century International School (Chengdu campus) Beijing 21st Century International School Chengdu campus covers an area of 115,391 square meters, and the total construction area is 190,000 square meters. The design is based on not only the site itself but also the geographical and ecological surroundings, relying on the essence of Sichuan culture "Shu culture", and aiming at adopting " British architectural pattern" and "college space". Seen from the sky , the main building of the school presents a C-I-O pattern, implying the school's mission: China-International-Open: cultivate students into citizens of the world with patriotism, international vision and intercultural communication ability and make them proud Chinese!  A “C” shaped structure of teaching areas utilizing British architectural features greets the eyes upon entering the school gate. Ventilation and sunlight requirements are generously met in these classrooms. The unique shape makes the building facades more vivid and dynamic. Additionally, this “C” shaped teaching area is surrounded by tens of thousands of square meters of landscaped lawn, whose inspiration is from the University of Oxford.  The dormitory area is designed in a compact way to maximize the use of available space. The open semi-underground space between the restaurant and the theater is used to set up a sunken square, which not only improves the indoor lighting and ventilation, but also increases the campus space, enlivens the atmosphere and facilitates interpersonal communication. The theater can hold 1,500 people. Dancing classrooms, social club classrooms, etc. below the plaza can fully meet the requirements of STEAM courses in hardware facilities. There is a standard running track (8X400m), a smaller running track (5x250m), and a standard football field in Chengdu campus. On the east side of the sports field, there are four standard basketball courts and two standard tennis courts. The swimming pool is equipped with 8x50m lanes and two standard basketball courts and four standard badminton courts are in the gymnasium. Elementary School Department Happy Childhood With A Happy Start Chinese ＆ foreign teaching system: Native English speakers and Chinese teachers will support students throughout the school day. Students will be provided with themed cross-disciplinary courses, during which they will be reading and learning from picture books in either Chinese or English. This gives students an all-round learning experience. iPads will be used in teaching which fully improves teaching efficiency. Our activity-based lessons also help the students develop in a well-rounded way. The comprehensive evaluation system we use will enable us to give attention to every student. World classes Program: During summer and winter vacations, teachers and students will visit schools in the US, the UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, New Zealand, Australia and other countries. Students will attend world-famous universities to audit classes, enjoy exotic attractions, and experience different cultures. Junior Middle School An Opportunity To Realize A Better Self Course selecting system: We are devoted to carry out a curriculum including three sections -- compulsory, elective, and practice courses.
