Job Responsibilities

Positions: Secondary Math/Science teacher needed in Shenzhen Prepare long term teaching plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment. Develop schemes of work, tests or assignments. Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments. Use technology to support and differentiate instruction. Manage student behaviour. Provide students with appropriate feedback. Encourage and monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Observe, evaluate and record student performance and development. Prepare reports on students and activities. Participate in meetings when required. Communicate with students, colleagues and parents with regard to student progress and student needs. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities. Prepare class activities as appropriate. Other functions of the job include but are not limited to the following: Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students. Encourage parent and community involvement and respond to parent enquiries appropriately. Participate in appropriate professional and extracurricular activities such as social and sport activities, clubs and student organisations as directed. Other duties as assigned. An appropriate teaching or other relevant degree from an accredited institution Appropriate teaching certification or experience in a relevant subject area. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must have the ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis. Perform other related delegated duties. Have knowledge of and make use of relevant technology. Behave in a responsible and professional manner while performing their duties.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required in secondary education or a bachelor’s degree in a related field is considered. • Eligible for a valid teaching license/certificate. • At least 2 years full-time teaching science in a regular middle/high school setting. • Evidence of current relevant professional development especially in science instruction. • High school level Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Advanced Placement (AP) teaching experience is preferred
