 Monitor daily news cycle and update team to relevant topics, drafting responses to emergency news cycle moments as appropriate.  Draft press releases and feature pitches and send to key media outlets as needed.  Maintain calendar of upcoming media moments.  Supervise reporters and all news crew to optimize routine news coverage.  Draft, organize and write and produce organizational feature stories to be used across digital channels and News platforms.  Draft and edit web articles and social media posts  Draft external messaging and communications master documents to be used by external relations teams across multiple channels.  perform copy editing of scripts for accuracy, factual content and correct language.  Chair daily editorial meetings to ensure consistency in production and timely coverage of news events, feature stories and interviews.  Perform research and write unbiased and factual news stories; rewrite and develop crisp news stories.  Prepare and complete news scripts to achieve time schedule and beat tight deadlines.  Responsible for brand management through dissemination of relevant, factual and credible news content.  Determine story angles and ensure compliance with in-house policies as well as CA code of ethics.  Submit daily report on docket performance and news execution to the head of media.
