Zoë started studying at 17, she studied art under a professional Water-colour Artist, Anita Oliphant, in Bloemfontein, South Africa, for 3 years. During this time she had her first solo exhibition, as well as numerous group exhibitions. Following her love for the Arts she also joined a Drama School and a music school pursuing singing. Naturally it was the fine-artist who came to the front and pointed the way forward. Family friend, Master artist René Snyman, became a close friend and mentor. René’s husband, Pieter Jacques Krugel, well known artist himself, joined this pack. During her first year she started giving art classes to kids from age 5-15. Zoë’s art-style is not something one can put a label on as she is a diverse artist in her mediums and techniques. Although water-colour is a favorite medium of choice as well as gouache, fine-liners, graphite and oil. She is a fulltime artist by profession.
