Mayfield Park, Manchester Advised on Hard and Soft Employers requirements for the first major city park in Manchester for 100 years, which included renaturalising the river, new bridges and jetties, extensive retaining structures, paths, play area and planting. Commented on contractors proposals, attended site progress meetings and commented on-site works.

Coventry City Centre South The major regeneration of Coventry City Centre for Shearer Property Group involving a comprehensive mixed use development including retail, residential, leisure and the regeneration of historic and listed buildings. The initial stages of the project included Stage 2 design, Public Consolation artwork and careful integration of the Public Realm and Roof Landscape with other professionals. Led the design involvement of Hertford Street Public Realm.

Maidenhead Station Forecourt The regeneration of Maidenhead Station was an important part of the towns long term development strategy. The design created a new plaza, linking the station back to the historic clock tower and reducing the amount of parking. Led the Stage 2, 3 and 4 design of the Station Forecourt. Watford High Street Regeneration Led the Stage 4 design of the Watford High Street Regeneration, including all Public Realm detail design, interface with new retail development and 3D design of complex stone planters. Later phases includes Stage 2 concepts for Clarendon Road, which extended the link from the High Street to the Station.

Armed Forces Officers Club and Hotel, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Led the Master Plan stage of the refurbishment and expansion of AFOCH. AFOCH had lost its identity and purpose and needed new direction to remain viable. The Master Plan will act as a guide to later Concept and Detail design stages of the Architectural and Landscape proposals. Swanley Town Centre, London, United Kingdom Part of Master Planning Team developing proposals for the rejuvenation of Swanley Town Centre, including Build to Rent, new Retail and regeneration of the Public Realm. Led Landscape proposals and input to Design and Access Statement as part of planning application.

Xingzhuang Reservoir, Nanjing, China Led Concept Master Plan for a new Lake Park, part of the City expansion of Nanjing. Prepared Site analysis and developed initial landform design, cut and fill, and impact of flooding using GIS.

Renaturalization of Nant D’Avril, Geneva, Switzerland Led Concept Design for the renaturalization of Nant D’Avril river then running underground in box culvert. Developed open space links to adjacent Industrial park as part of its refurbishment and expansion, including open space strategy. BCV ‘Innovation Village’ at Charbonnière, Valais, Switzerland Led Master Plan Concept for an ‘Innovation Village’ along the banks of the River Rhone

Dongli Lake and Commercial Development, Tianjin, China Winner of International Competition for Master Plan for Lakeside development at Dongli, Tianjin and subsequent detail concepts for a Central ‘Down Town’ area, Fashion Village, Wetland Park housing and Hotel Temple Complex. Taian Road, British Concession Redevelopment, Tianjin, China Winner of Competition Design for Public Realm including major Plazas as part of the redevelopment of Tianjin’s Historic British Concession

Durrat Golf Course Master Plan, Bahrain Project managed first Stages of Master Plan working in collaboration with Ernie Els Design to develop Championship Golf Course integrated with clustered Villas, Club House, Hotel and Mixed Use Area.

Ershilipu Town Logistics Park, Dalian, China Project Manager/ Lead Designer for Logistics Park Master Plan including new IT Centre, Regeneration of the old Town Centre and development of new links to adjacent Leisure and Tourist areas. Ning Hang Expressway, Jiangsu, China Award-winning designs for Ning Hang Expressway and Dong Lushan Service Area. The service area was one of the first in China and is used as an exemplar of good design practice.

Paphos – Polis Highway, Cyprus Undertook first Landscape and Visual Impact Statement prepared to European Union Standards in Cyprus for the Paphos-Polis Highway in Cyprus supported by a Landscape Performance Specification. Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), Cheltenham, UK Project Management of the Construction Phase of GCHQ External Landscape works including large Central Roof Garden. The project won a UK National BALI Landscape award.

Regeneration and Development of Springvale Site, Bilston Originally the site of Bilston Steelworks, the site was derelict and contaminated. Led the Regeneration involving regrading, drainage and planting of large scale urban forestry. Subsequently the site was developed for Industry, Housing and Retail. Developed an Open Space Strategy incorporating the Wolverhampton Canal, links to the city and a series of art features was developed. Wolverhampton Science & Business Park Landscape design of University Campus and Science Park built on reclaimed land, as part of Urban Improvements that included new canal side frontage.

Diploma in Landscape Architecture (The same course next year was awarded a Masters in Landscape Architecture).
