Job Responsibilities

Job Description The Coordinator will handle the day-to-day operational and administrative needs of the Publishing and Sync department. The successful applicant will be an integral part of the team. They will be responsible for pitching our catalog to sync opportunities, securing licensing deals, acquiring new artists and composers to our roster as well as assisting the team with other urgent tasks that may arise. You will be a key, trusted member of the team whose work will help ensure the department is performing at the highest level possible. Responsibilities • Song catalog upload, instrumentals, metadata, share splits, lyrics, tagging and general maintenance of the platform • Request any missing assets from Content Support Staff • Confirm metadata is accurate and ensure that the contact section is up to date with writers’ correct publishers, PROs, etc • Assist with publishing agreements • Assisting with the marketing and promotion of the company and our catalog • Enter deal terms into music publishing and relevant platforms. • Send licenses to the artists with, confirmed terms. • Create and update various internal and external marketing materials on a weekly basis including but limited to New Music blasts, one-sheets and pitch decks • Oversee maintenance of accurate records and department files including but not limited to sample and side artist splits, publishing information, artist approval contacts, and exclusivity notices • Seek approval and perform clearance duties for select projects/clients including music-intensive television shows, film festivals, documentaries, non-profits, etc. • Perform regular follow-up on pending deals and licensing requests; track launch/airdates for upcoming releases across all media • Research and track various productions including but not limited to TV shows, Films, Video Games, Ads, etc. • Retrieve/upload video of placements and communicate to marketing (for socials and other online platforms) • Network with industry professionals and grow your own network of contacts.

Job Requirements

• Experience in the Music Industry for 5+ years • 1-2 years of relevant experience ideally at a record label, music publisher, studio, ad agency, sync agency, music supervisor, production company. • Proficiency with music copyright, sync licensing and publishing admin and music composition • Exceptional attention to detail, solid time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize, while staying ahead of deadlines in a fast-moving environment • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, a self-starter • Excellent written, interpersonal, verbal communication, and networking skills Education related to the music business • Optimistic with positive energy and outlook • Creative writing and marketing analytics experience • Passionate about music, publishing, and synch • Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; a team player, willing to pitch in whenever needed • Ability to make sound decisions, sometimes very quickly, to solve any issues that may arise • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Canva Benefits • You join an inclusive, collaborative, and driven team where you have the opportunity to fuel the creative journey • A modern office environment designed to foster productivity, creativity, and teamwork located in the Wangjing area of Chaoyang, Beijing. • Our Hybrid with Flexibility approach combines the flexibility of remote working with the benefits of in-person collaboration whenever we need to come together to do our best work.
