Job Responsibilities

1.Tailoring the content and style of individual writing assignments according to their purpose - whether they are intended to sell or inform; 2.Understanding the target audience: you're not writing for the client, you're writing for their readers, so you'll need to know what interests them; 3.Identifying key messages: understanding the main thing that you want the reader to feel and do and how to communicate this powerfully; 4.Working with creative teams to ensure that the visual elements of the web page complement the words; 5.Researching your client's industry and their audience; 6.Identifying fresh and interesting angles for your articles; 7.Writing for web pages and blogs, and potentially also for social media, e-books, slogans, and video script; 8.Editing your own and others' writing; 9.Working with your team to review the impact your work has had; Assisting with business pitches to win new clients or projects.

Job Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, advertising or related field - Prefer 3 years experience in a brand content marketing or agency copy writing role. - Familiarity with digital editing/proofing and project management software - Demonstrated experience creating content for a brand. (Will require portfolio.) - Must have the ability to quickly research and build a knowledge base on a variety of topics, and create the context - necessary for communicating that information clearly to customers. - Must be comfortable presenting work to executive-level leadership. - Must be comfortable working in a highly collaborative creative environment where ideas will be challenged and feedback given. - Must have a commitment to a positive, solutions-oriented attitude, while having fun and inviting innovation. - Must have established writing, editing and proofreading skills including excellent English grammar, spelling and punctuation. - Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential information.
