Job Responsibilities

Working Location: San Luis Potosí, Mexico 1. Provide advanced process engineering support for difficult injection troubles and field troubleshooting for identified process and equipment problems. 2. Perform trials in order to get optimal parameters settings. 3. Design and implement robot processes and flaming parameters. 4. Install, launch, and optimize robot programs and processes. 5. Develop, update and improve process parameters for IMM´s. 6. Develop and improve robot programs offline. 7.Develop the design of the demolding gripper. Responsibilities: 1. Develop and improve robot programs offline. 5. Develop the design of the demolding gripper. 6. Participate in the detection of degating needs to be repetitive and safe. 7. If allowed, participate in the trials for use regrind material. 8. Support proposal process with cycle time studies/process studies for verification and improve. 9. Participate in the process of mold validation and first parts approval process. 10. Suggest mold engineering changes in order to improve the quality of the parts. 11. Support Tool Shop and Maintenance departments in order to solve difficult problems as a team. 12. Promote SMED workshops for the reduction of mold change time. 13. Weekly follow-up to all Open Action Plans related downtime, scrap, quality, change over mold, machinery and auxiliary equipment. 14. Assist with quoting spare parts – IMM´s usage, cycle times, labor, etc. 15. Manage timing for robot spare parts, quote, award, prototype, and bring into production on time and under budget. 16. Work with the maintenance and production departments to maintain equipment and to develop and improve preventative maintenance. 17. Perform trials in order to get optimal parameters settings. 18. Perform process engineering analysis and feasibility studies of injection process required for the release of customer quotations. 19. Provide advanced process engineering support for difficult injection troubles and field troubleshooting for identified process and equipment problems. 20. Ensure equipment is installed and configured optimally during modular builds and field Installation. 21. Assist the Vice Injection Manager in developing standards and ensuring compliance to standards in the paint department this includes standardized work for operators. 22. Provide training to Injection Supervisors, Technicians and Workers on equipment and processes. 23. Provide project support to verify and ensure that equipment and process is performing as inspected. 24. Provide recommendations for improvements to enhance performance and reduce cost or for updates to the system verification and troubleshooting methods. 25. Ability to record and interpret quality data such as injection quality defects. 26. Measure and analyze resource productivity using time and motion studies.Create and maintain Minghua Work Standards. 27. Forecast process time and resource requirements for future models and projects. 28. Improve productivity with the use of: Tooling, Layout, Lean Manufacturing Methodology, Ergonomic Improvements and Engineering Skills. 29. Integrate Process Engineering with Tool Shop, Maintenance, Safety, Quality, New Model, Equipment & Production Staff. 30. Management of activities ISO TS 16949, ISO 14000, ISO 18000. 31. Pursue future technological improvements (Innovation). 32. Act as minor model project leader for Injection Department, includes managing schedules, budgets, and on project as required. 33. Participate in cross company paint improvement activities with injection engineers from all Minghua plants.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 1. Nationality: German, American. 2. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, will consider Education and Experience equivalents. 3. Minimum of 10 years or up of experience as Injection Process Engineer in the automotive industry. 4. Minimum of 10 years or up of experience with Bumpers, 2K (2 Components), Gas assistance, TSG (Structural Foam Molding or Low Pressure Foam Molding). 5. Strong problem solving skills and understanding of the Scientific Method. ACG Method is a plus. Core Competencies: 1. Be familiar with ISO/TS16949 knowledge. 2. Leadership, Problem Resolution, Dynamic, Relentless, Reliable, Positive Attitude. 3. Personal Skills, Mentoring and future vision. 4. Ability to read/create Technical Drawings and Specifications. 5. Strong problem solving skills and understanding of the Scientific Method. ACG Method is a plus. 6. Knowledge of manufacturing tools as Six Sigma, 6S, VSM, Kaizen, SMED, TPM. 7. Previous Ergonomics Knowledge/Experience. 8. Management of several projects at a time. 9. Coordination of resources to meet the goals of the plant. 10. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Words, Power Point). 11. Excellent communication, coordination ability and team work. 12. Fluent on English (Speak and write).
