Notably, the Group operates the Thomas Schools of China and administers the Aptitude Scholastic Test (AST)—a university admissions exam designed to assess students’ academic abilities and support international university admissions for students from diverse educational backgrounds. Position Overview: Ambright Education Group is seeking a dedicated and proactive UK & Ireland Representative to lead and coordinate its educational engagement and strategic partnerships in the region. The role will focus on supporting and expanding collaboration with universities, schools, and education providers, with a particular emphasis on promoting the Aptitude Scholastic Test (AST) and facilitating broader academic and cultural exchange initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and expand partnerships with UK and Irish universities for the Aptitude Scholastic Test (AST), currently adopted by 47 institutions across the region. Represent Ambright Education Group and its affiliated programmes (including the Thomas Schools of China) in meetings, conferences, and university visits. Support and contribute to a range of academic and cultural initiatives such as: Ambassador Year in China GPEC (Global Professional Education Consortium) TalkPal Access International Art (AIA) Identify and pursue new opportunities for cooperation with secondary schools and educational institutions. Serve as a liaison between Ambright’s Shanghai-based headquarters and regional partners. Assist with planning and logistics for university visits, student exchange, and promotional events. Job Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Education, International Relations, Communications, or a related field. A strong interest and understanding of the higher education landscape in the UK and Ireland. Relevant experience or demonstrable interest in international education, particularly with links to China. Some proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred (though not required). Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and represent the organisation professionally. Familiarity with university admissions, international student recruitment, or exchange programmes is an advantage. Flexibility and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
