There is an international schools group position in Hong Kong as below : Playgroup English Coordinator *Summary* The English Coordinator will be working closely with the Principal and Chinese Head Teacher to facilitate open communication amongst the staff and assist classroom teachers to develop strategies, skills, tools, techniques, and to effectively teach and implement curriculum for all students. *Working Relationships* The English Coordinator reports to the School Principal and the school management team. *Strategic responsibilities will include:* -Demonstrates exemplary classroom teaching practice and possesses a deep understanding of all curriculum for the purpose of modeling best practices in all areas. -Works collaboratively with the Principal and the management team in handling and resolving conflicts which may arise due to teachers different cultures an backgrounds. -Provides guidance to help the teaching staff(English and Chinese)in the school community to learn about and understand culture s other than their own; nurturing understanding and respect towards one another. -Works collaboratively with the Principal and the management team to facilitate open communication amongst the staff and the whole community, to promotea harmonized and fun-filled learning-and-teaching environment . -Promotes and monitors induction of newly recruited teachers. -Supports the Principal in handling requests/issues/concerns arisen by parents , in particular with the native English-speaking parents or concerns with English curriculum. -Arranges supply English teachers in case of absences with the agreement of the Principal. -Keeping school based English meeting minutes up to date and share them with the Principal and DES. -Supports school in ordering and delegates the organization of resources Planning and Portfolio time to be allotted separate from duties above. The English coordinator will only need to attend English Head Teacher meetings when invited. Be prepared to plan ,prepare and attend functions, events, meetings, workshops or celebrations, some of which may fall out with regular hours or be held on weekends. and effective functioning of the school. Requirements: -Enthusiastic, qualified, native English speaking Playgroup teacher -Candidates must hold appropriate qualifications like Bachelor in Early Childhood Education or Post Graduate Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education -5 years Playgroup experience will be an advantage The company can apply for a visa.
