Twenty–six years of teaching and school administrative achievements: • Fifteen years as site administrator, including ten years as Head of School: public and private schools in the U.S. and China, and three PK-12 accredited international schools in China and Egypt • More than eleven years as teacher and curriculum specialist in California public middle and elementary schools • Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership and Educational Leadership • High school valedictorian, accomplished string bass player, eighteen years of study and work in China, near–fluency in Mandarin Chinese
Led the PK-12 school during its second and third years of operation and achieved Cognia (AdvancED) accreditation
• joined or chaired WASC accreditation visiting committees in China, Japan, and Vietnam • supported the Advanced Placement program so that over 90% of AP students achieved passing scores • increased cash reserves 600% while developing and monitoring annual US$10 million budgets • recruited and hired all principals, teachers, and staff (160 total staff: 90 Chinese staff and 70 foreign staff) • expanded educational services to meet English language and special needs of students • increased students’ 21 st century skills through 1:1 iPad and laptop programs in grades 3-12 • increased coding, communication and collaboration skills by starting a high school Robotics club that ascended to VEX Robotics national competitions in the U.S. • stimulated innovation and creativity by championing a Makerspace room
