Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities Summary: 1. Communicate well with everyone, whether customers, account managers overseas, colleagues in China, and vendors 2. Attend all project kickoff meetings, offer guidance, and follow up as appropriate 3. Coordinate and communicate development schedules and compatibility or design issues throughout the team continuously 4. Assess resources needed to develop product and create scope of work (SOW) accordingly. 5. Develop timelines for development tasks and appraise management of performance against plan 6. Make suggestions as to which suppliers would be a good fit for a given project 7. Search for, find, and vet suppliers in both new and existing competencies 8. Train suppliers in the “The Outform Way”, the methods we use for development, IP transfer, prototyping, mass production, quality control, and packaging. 9. Evaluate feasibility of concepts and implement potential design and process changes to improve product performance, cosmetic appearance, and manufacturability 10. Make sure team is properly documenting all issues and design updates and posting in appropriate folders on Outform server. 11. Supervise team in creating detail BOMs of product, analyze cost compared to market prices, and advise global team on costing. 12.Make quality assurance plan and follow up with team to make sure negative testing is done. 13. Organize review meetings for mechanical, electronic, and cosmetic designs. 14. Travel domestically and internationally to support projects

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements (Must-Have): 1. At least 3 years experience in project management or related field 2. Bachelor's degree 3. Native or native-level fluency in English, both written and oral. 4. Conversational level of Chinese to speak with staff and suppliers clearly about project objectives. 5. Currently living in China or able to relocate within one month. 6. Experience with manufacturing and/or product development in China (specific type of product not important) 7. Experience communicating directly with brands/customers in the USA and Europe 8. Great computer skills, and experience in using office applications, project management tools, conferencing tools, and the like Candidate Requirements: 1. Organized and detail oriented to keep track of actions, timelines, documentation, etc. 2. Good communicator who can get to the point efficiently while still making sure all issues are addressed. 3. Ability to deduct clear actions from meetings and interpret that into specific tasks for the team. 4. Confident and well spoken in front of customers 5. Driven "Go-getter" attitude to do whatever it takes to make project successful 6. Ability to analyze problems, narrow down root issue, and think of creative solutions. 7. Good people management skills to supervise and direct small team. 8. Current or prior experience with projects that utilize diverse technology solutions 9. Appreciation for industrial design and engineering process 10. Exerpience working with vendors/suppliers in China to develop new products. Additional Skills (Nice to Have): 1. Fluent spoken Mandarin Chinese 2. Experience in retail fixtures or in-store marketing industries 3. Understanding of electronic hardware development 4. Experience in software development on both OS and embedded levels 5. Experience using web-based project and software development tools 6. Production management experience
