Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities • Possesses and provides expertise in the full life-cycle of instructional design processes (ADDIE or other industry accepted models) to design, develop and implement effective instructional materials, learning resources and content. • Creates design standards and templates and integrates technology-based tools into the development process. • Evaluates and assesses the instructional effectiveness and business impact of programs and supports the continuous improvement of learning solutions. • Leads projects including negotiating project scope and timeline, meeting all deadlines within quality expectations. • Actively communicates with stakeholders and ensures solutions have demonstrable business impact. • Manage and/or oversee several projects at once to support the established development process and ensure instructional integrity. • Ensure consistent, reliable, and comprehensive training records are maintained. • Designs and develops engaging elearning assets, videos, illustrations, diagrams, animations, infographics, presentations, and instructional hand-outs. • Creates test questions, activities, and exercises to measure training effectiveness. • Communicates complex topics in a way that is easy to understand. • Conducts reviews of deliverables with SMEs/stakeholders for instructional quality and soundness. • Redesigns/edits content iteratively as products change and/or features are added.
Job Requirements
Skills & Competencies • Software Proficiency in Articulate 360, Canva, Veed.io (or other rapid build speech-to-text video software), and Microsoft Office. • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. • Effective time management - the ability to juggle multiple projects and project timelines. • Demonstrate effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration and listening skills to interpret learning needs and drive results. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to function independently and as a team member. • Strong project management skills with ability to lead multiple, complex projects with tight timeframes in a matrixed environment. Education/Experience • Certification in training, development, instructional design, learning or performance improvement such as a college degree, CLDP, CLD, etc. • 5+ years of instructional design experience with proven ability to design and build innovative, creative content, including online programs, job aids, web sites and instructor materials. • Experience with multimedia authoring, graphic creation tools, and learning management systems. • Expert in use of Microsoft Products including Word, PowerPoint and Excel -Experience with remote training using asynchronous meeting tools such as NetMeeting, Webex, or LiveMeeting • Experience in the Compensation industry is a plus but not required.
