Job Responsibilities
English Teaching: - Teach Middle School Students English courses according to their English ability. ELA classes are currently split into 5 levels which range from CEFR A1 to C1. - Lessons taught should be using the materials provided by the school. The teacher can supplement these materials with teacher-made resources. - Teach approximately 12-16 periods of English per week. - Responsible for the planning and designing of the lessons, the delivery of the lessons, providing feedback on homework and assignments, designing assessments, and giving grades. Elective Teaching: - Teach Middle School Students elective courses in areas of interest to you. - Teach approximately 2-6 periods of Elective lessons per week (at least 2 of these classes will be related to English). - Each elective course meets either once or twice per week. - Electives are not required to have graded assignments or homework, and should be designed to spark an interest within the students Administrative Duties: - Regularly attend departmental and school-wide meetings - Participate in team curriculum planning meetings (if applicable) - Complete regular lesson plans and unit plans and submit them on time - Record student attendance and provide occasional feedback to students based on their progress in the courses
Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in Education, English or Literature, Lingustics or other English Langauge related subjects 2. Teaching Certificate including TEFL, TESOL, TESL, CELTA or other teaching related certificate. 3. More than two years teaching experience in the preferred 4. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children 6. Eager to learn and grow continuously
