Sales Director responsibilities include: • Owning and hitting/exceeding annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts • Developing and executing strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships Job description: • Sells products by implementing national sales plans. • Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies, analyzing trends and results. • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories and projecting expected sales volumes and profit for existing and new products. • Maintains sales volume by tracking changing trends, economic indicators, competitors and supply and demand. • Work with Sales Team to meet sales goals and operation requirements. • Motivate Sales Team members to comply with all appropriate rules and regulations and meet daily, monthly and annual sales goals. • Hire, choose, train and assign all Sales Team members. • Identify positive Sales Team results and maintain these outcomes through motivation and incentive programs, and identify and resolve any negative outcomes through employee discipline, counsel and protocol changes. • Attempt other related tasks and responsibilities pertinent to the Sales Team as necessary. • Maintain the positive reputation and ethic within the Sales Department by complying with all company policies and procedures. • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results.
