ELVA Group is a manufacturer of exterior carpenter grouping 4 companies : Menuiseries ELVA, Côté Fenêtres, Menbat-Plastimen and Padiou. Less than 80 people in 2001 and almost 500 in 2018 with a turnover of 35 million euros Was in charge of the IT department as well as the proper functioning of the information system * Set up an ERP from end to end (WINPRO), handled different projects such as SAGE, DMS Office One V8 * Developed internal applications and different drivers to pilot machining centers * Researched and developed new IT solutions in order to meet the staff’s needs * Made strategic decisions regarding IT infrastructure for future needs * Ensured the smooth operation of all IT systems, infrastructures and servers, and made sure that they are running to the required level (IT policy and strategy development) * Ensured that all IT changes are managed properly in order to minimize downtime and risk of any inconveniences to users * Trained staff and clients in using various applications (WINPRO light, DMS Office One V8) * Took care of network maintenance, upgrades and security (PFSense, VPN, Symantec) * Held regular reviews of all IT systems and equipment (OS, Licence, Referencing) * Negotiated contracts with suppliers regarding terms & conditions and costs * Provided technical assistance on a variety of IT issues, remote assistance, logging calls and responding to staff emails Key Achievements: Managed a team of 3 people, trained more than 50 people internally, optimized Repetitive tasks to gain 1 to 2 hours of work a day, handled over 200 computers, laptops and servers (physical and virtual) and processed over 50 calls/emails a day, optimized and cut costs hardware and software
