Served as the HR and Talent Manager for the Equitas Academy network of charter schools, in charge of recruiting, hiring, and working closely with the instructional talent and leadership of 6 schools within the Pico Union neighborhood of Los Angeles. (~250 employees) • Redesigned entire instructional interview process from the ground up, rooting the process in equity and access, including the development of new competencies that more closely align with the organizational mission and values • Led a team of talent ambassadors, including training, coaching, developing their skills in recruiting and being talent champions to our network • Led professional development trainings for leadership on bias, candidate experience, equity, and interviewing • Overhauled and championed the change management of the entire hiring and full-cycle recruitment process to an efficient virtual system during the Covid-19 Pandemic, including leadership training and process improvement • Significantly increased instructional staff retention and satisfaction, as well as organizational satisfaction with the hiring process overall throughout tenure • Conducted a job analysis and evaluation design of the organizational talent function, ensuring smoother process flow, easier communication, and a reduction of roadblocks and redundancies • Collaborated in partnership with the Director of Talent to deliver timely data reports and evaluations to inform organizational decision making • Spearheaded, designed, and led network-wide appreciation, engagement, and people and culture initiatives • Actively participated in annual strategic planning and evaluation towards a more equitable, human-centered talent acquisition function • Served as the talent department representative on the organizational DEI council • Designed, developed, and implemented a sustainable Equitas Network intern program, hiring and training the Network office's first ever college intern
