Job Responsibilities
1.Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including bookkeeping, payroll, bank reconciliations, and loan disbursement accounting. 2.Ensure compliance with Kazakh legislation, National Bank of Kazakhstan (NBK) regulations, and microfinance-specific requirements. 3.Prepare and submit timely regulatory reports to the relevant authorities. 4.Monitor and manage the organization's charter capital, loan portfolio accounting, and related provisioning. 5.Maintain accurate financial records in line with Kazakhstan Accounting Standards (KAS) and internal company policies. 6.Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, and generate financial reports for both local management and head office. 7.Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory inspectors during audits and inspections. 8.Support the licensing process, including documentation of financial models, policies, and compliance confirmations. 9.Implement and maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices, especially regarding loan disbursement and recovery. 10.Assist in budget planning, forecasting, and cash flow management. 11.Work closely with HQ finance teams and local management for reporting and alignment.
Job Requirements
1.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). 2.Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or Kazakh equivalent) is an advantage. 3.Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably with at least 2 years in the microfinance sector. 4.Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan tax code, NBK regulations, MFO regulations and reporting standards. 5.Experience in loan accounting, charter capital tracking, and provisioning rules. 6.Fluency in Russian and English is required; proficiency in Kazakh is an asset. 7.Excellent attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills 8.High ethical standards and professional integrity
